Clun Valley Voices & Discovering Clun Castle
A Heritage Lottery Fund 'All Our Stories' project
June has been organisation by remote control. On June 2nd Peter had a heart attack and the rest of the month was spent going to the hospital in Shrewsbury and then in Stoke on Trent.
Publicity was handed out in Shrewsbury Hospital and leaflets distrubuted in Craven Arms and Church Stretton while passing through there. Hard to get down to doing any more as we never knew when Peter would be moved or what was happening.
Kent manged to keep things going and have meetings with his Museum Trustees who are now ready for action. We kept in touch by email and phone.
June 27: Short item in the South Shropshire Journal about the event.
June 30: Peter came home and now it's less than a week to go before the big event. Slightly nervous - how will it go? The weather forecast is for hot sunny weather - good for visitors but not good for Normans in woollen clothing and chain mail.
Robert Munn, the model-maker sent photos of the base for the model of Clun Castle. Unfortunately, work on this had to be put on hold until Peter was well enough to continue with the drawings for it.
