Clun Valley Voices & Discovering Clun Castle
A Heritage Lottery Fund 'All Our Stories' project
13 May: received photos of the base and contours of the model from the modelmaker, Robert Munn. Work in progess but it is progressing.
14 May: Spend a day looking for First Aiders to cover the Baron's Revolt event. Ended up with 4 possibilities.
17 May: went to Clun School to give out the 'Norman' comics. There is one for each child - about 80 of them. One of the classes has been making a model of Clun Castle so we must involve them when the model is made.
20 May: Another meeting in Clun with the Museum's Trustees; good progress was made and jobs allocated. First Responders have been booked for the day and insurance wording has been settled with the Dog Rose Trust's insurers.
30 May: It's now nearly the end of the month: Peter has had his operation successfully and we are now getting down to final details. Refreshments have been organised: Matthew Lloyd is coming with his wood-fired pizza oven on a trailer and Chris and Rachel Morris are being their burger van with ice creams and hot drinks. Information being written for the Clun and Bishops Castle events website. The to-do list looks long but much of it is last minute.
